News > RMMS Again Recognized by Chambers & Partners - William Rakoczy Ranked Nationally for Life Sciences
In its recent USA 2021 legal rankings edition, Chambers & Partners again recognized RMMS with a strong “Band 3” ranking in the Chambers Illinois – Intellectual Property guide, as well as recognizing RMMS founding partner William Rakoczy in the Illinois – IP individual table.
Notably, Mr. Rakoczy was selected for individual inclusion on the Chambers Nationwide Life Sciences: IP/Patent Litigation Rankings. He joins just twelve other individual practitioners selected for recognition as “Ranked Lawyers” in the practice area.
In connection with the firm’s work, Chambers USA recognizes the RMMS as a:
Boutique firm much admired for its artful representation of generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in complex ANDA litigation. Other areas of strength include freedom-to-operate searches and licensing and collaboration agreements. Increasing bench strength sees it offer wider expertise beyond its traditional generics client base, bolstering its handling of brand mandates.
As part of its research, Chambers interviews lawyers and clients. One client praised the RMMS team, noting that “[t]heir level of preparation is top-notch and this is ultimately borne out in their results.”
Chambers USA rankings are based on independent research and in-depth client and attorney interviews, which assess a firm’s legal knowledge, experience, and ability.
Headquartered in Chicago, RMMS is a full-service litigation and intellectual property law firm with over 30 attorneys devoted exclusively to the pharmaceutical industry, including specialty practice in the field of patent and regulatory counseling and litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act, the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act (MMA), and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA).
