Dr. Ehrich’s practice focuses on pharmaceutical patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation, and patent counseling. He has experience in all areas of pharmaceutical litigation, including fact and expert discovery, and pre-trial and trial preparation. Dr. Ehrich also has experience preparing freedom to operate opinions in both the pharmaceutical and medical devices areas.
Dr. Ehrich’s graduate work involved assessing the interactions of genetics and environment, specifically examining gene-by-diet interactions in a mouse obesity model system. Dr. Ehrich also has experience in DNA and RNA tissue extraction, molecular biology lab techniques such as western blotting and plasmid vector manipulation, artificial protein synthesis, cell line culture, and coding text parsing software.
Prior to joining Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP, Dr. Ehrich advised Cambia, an Australian non-profit organization, on issues relating to United States patent law and biotechnology. Prior to that, he was an associate at McGuire Woods LLP. He was also previously an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP. Prior to attending graduate and law school, Dr. Ehrich performed research in the Tumor Biology Department of the Mayo Clinic.
